Our Current Lithium Dilemma

  

Batteries demand significant amounts of lithium and powers the majority of our lives. Currently, lithium is produced by evaporation which takes up land for mining and ponds, hurts communities, is a long process (12-18 months) and consumes a lot of water (2 million gallons per tonne of Li). Replacing this ancient practice with DLE would meet the growing demand of lithium and lower the environmental impact. 

What is DLE?

  

DLE is a groundbreaking innovative research that produces a faster extraction rate whilst minimising water consumption and environmental impacts. It is split between using adsorbent materials, membranes or solvent extraction to selectively capture Li ions – this reduces impurities and produces high purity lithium compounds for direct use in battery manufacturing.

Here at SenFi UK, we use adsorption technology to produce high concentrations of Lithium from low concentration brines from different environments.

With our sorbent, we have achieved >95% purity of Li and have tested our sorbents with high reviews from clients.
